Robert Bosch in Great Britain and the Rodez plant in France have partnered with Scotland’s Katrick Technologies to develop and manufacture innovative wind panels. This technology captures ground-level winds, delivering efficient, carbon-free electricity.

Bosch leverages its manufacturing expertise to industrialize Katrick’s patented technology. The proof of concept features 3,000 wind panels, with a capacity of three Megawatts, and is projected to bring an estimated seven to ten million euros.

In the next stage, a further 10,000 panels with ten-Megawatt capacity should follow. The Vinci group, the operator of the airport, is also looking into scaling this technology across further airports, for instance London Gatwick and Belfast. The company currently operates 70 airports in 14 countries. This solution is also relevant for transport, logistics, and construction, holding multi-million business potential with Bosch as a reliable manufacturing partner.
